About Stefan Borchers
Profile
Stefan Borchers studied German Literature, Philosophy, and Social Psychology in Hannover. In 2008 he earned his Ph.D. with his thesis "The Generation of the 'Whole man'. On the origin of anthropology and aesthetics at the University of Halle in the 18th century" ("Die Erzeugung des 'ganzen Menschen'. Zur Entstehung von Anthropologie und Ästhetik an der Universität Halle im 18. Jahrhundert"). His research interests include medicine, philosophy, and theology of the 17th and 18th centuries, especially in the Lutheran sphere.
From April to September 2010 he is Visting Professor of History of Science at Martin-Luther-University Halle-Wittenberg.
